I created editorial content for the group’s employee magazine. Injecting some pep into the mix I interviewed some of the characters who’ve broken the mould including young, female brewers and engineers. I set out to capture their energy and spirit to inspire the next generation of female leaders amongst their 85,000 global employees.

“What advice can I offer a woman thinking about getting into the brewing industry? See yourself as a person first before a woman. Don’t perceive any imbalance as a hindrance because there are no barriers. Have confidence - the more women that come into the industry the more change we’ll see. When I started with HEINEKEN there were only two women and in a short space of time there are so many more working across the business in brewing, planning, packaging, engineering, utilities, and logistics. If you’re willing to work hard you will succeed: it’s fast paced, hugely supportive and you’ll never stop learning.“
